Nutrition – What Are Dead Foods

Eating the right types of foods is not as easy as you might think. What should you eat? When should you eat and why? Why some foods are great and others so destructive? Why is it that what you learned to eat as a child worked then but not anymore? Are you confused yet?

Nutrition- What are dead foods?

Dead foods are foods that are cooked. Any food products that you cook is robbed of most, or all nutrients and therefore have very little nutritional value.
Any food that has no value to you should be on your do not eat list. Fried foods will do you more harm than good.
Any food that has been blanched, pasteurized, baked, boiled, steamed, canned or dried is dead.
Have you ever tried putting your hand in boiling water? Imagine what happens to the life of any living food when it is boiled?
Try this at home for all to see:Put a cooked potato and a raw one on a counter next to each other and let them sit there for a couple of days. The living potato will sprout and continue to live. The cooked one…try it for yourself. Let your kids see what happens. Imagine what happens to any food once it site for a couple of hours in your body? Seeing is believing for many, I always like to see because it remains printed in my mind.

Healthy living foods will help your body grow and give it much more energy. Dead foods will satisfy your hunger, temporarily often taste great. Ever wondered why it taste’s so great?

Learning about how we eat and how food affects your daily life should be as important to you as learning the three R’s in school.

Nutrition should be talked about everyday around your kitchen. Let your kids in on how it works. They will thank you all there lives.

Food for thought.
