In general nutritionists are engaged in consultancy, either attached to a clinic or individually. Some conduct research with whole-food firms. Others teach or author books. There are many who focus on preparation of nutritious menus and operate as chefs in spas and eateries serving whole-foods.Nutrition information can also come from nutrition researchers. There are people who are professionals in their field, such as sociology or medicine and study the effects of food. There are also nutritionists who focus on the study of nutrition. In most places, a nutritionist must have a degree in a basic science course related to nutrition.Bachelor’s degree holders in nutrition have more opportunities to gain a higher-level degree from home. Many students go on to gain a master’s degree in human nutrition to not only increase their career options but income as well. Students are typically required to complete around 35 credit hours to graduate a master’s program.

There are many different areas that a nutritionist might choose to specialize in. They might want to specialize in certain age groups, community work, focus on different individuals; the needs of people who have cystic fibrosis, diabetes, or even Parkinson’s disease. There are also public nutritionists. These work in the local communities. They work to look at the populations nutritional needs, they also look at different community problems with nutrition
